E. Bruce DiDonato, O.D.

After graduating from Rider University, Dr. DiDonato received his doctorate degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1981 . There he twice earned the Leslie Mintz Foundation Scholarship. His clinical training included externships at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia as well as The National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. DiDonato is a member of:

  • The American Optometric Association

  • New Jersey Optometric Association

  • Central Jersey Optometric Association

  • American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators

  • American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery

  • Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgical Society

  • New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgical Centers.

Dr. DiDonato is Optometry Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease and has extensive interest in the treatment of glaucoma and patient care in outpatient ophthalmic ambulatory surgical centers in New Jersey. He developed Campus Eye Group by inviting numerous sub-specialists to practice with him in Mercer County from throughout the Delaware Valley. Dr. DiDonato put in place the technology required to deliver nearly all the sub-specialty eye care required for his patients, eliminating their need to travel long distances to obtain this specialty care. Dr. DiDonato is the founder and current President of the Eye Surgicenter and serves as Chairman of the Credentialing Committee.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, Dr. Agness received a doctorate degree in 1984. There she earned the Petry Lomb Scholarship and the Clinical Excellence Certificate from the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Agness is a member of the American and New Jersey Optometric Associations and is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, with a special interest in contact lenses.

As a dedicated leader in the field of Optometry, Dr. Agness serves in a number of active capacities with the professional staff at Campus Eye Group, King James Continuing Care Center and our Eye Surgicenter.

David J. Lax, O.D.

David J. Lax, O.D.

After attending Herbert H. Lehman College in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Lax graduated from S.U.N.Y. State College of Optometry, where he received his doctorate degree in 1 976. Dr. Lax interned at the Lighthouse for the Blind in New York, and enjoys visiting nursing homes and senior citizen centers to deliver eyecare.

Dr. Lax is Optometry Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and has extensive training and experience with contact lenses.

After being in private practice for 20 years, Dr. Lax joined the Campus Eye Group staff in 1996, where he manages glaucoma and post-op cataract patients.

Brian M. Cohen, O.D., FAAO - Clinic Director, Campus Eye Laser Center

Brian M. Cohen, O.D.

A recognized Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease, Dr. Cohen is one of Central New Jersey’s foremost experts on refractive surgery.

After graduating from Rutgers University, Dr. Cohen received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1997. He completed his residency at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, where he received multiple scholarships and was a member of the Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Societies.

Dr. Cohen is a member of:

  • Pennsylvania Optometric Association

  • New Jersey Optometric Association

  • American Optometric Association

  • American Academy of Optometry

Dr. Cohen has dedicated most of his career to refractive surgery, working with thousands of patients who have had laser vision correction and lecturing frequently on the topic. He has also published several articles on laser vision correction in peer-reviewed journals.

He is a certified operator of multiple laser platforms, including the NASA-recognized LADARVision laser in use at Campus Eye Laser Center.
